Missionaries Targeted in Zimbabwe
AIDS workers from an American church have been arrested and held overnight in Zimbabwe.
The missionaries, who work as part of Allen Temple Baptist Church’s AIDS programme, were taken and held at Harare police station before being released on bail. They are charged with running a clinic without a license.

Swaziland Abuses of Human Rights
Last week saw pro-democracy protests in Swaziland, the African nation bordering South Africa, and a brutal response from the police.
Trade Union and pro-democracy groups marched through Swaziland on the 7th and 8th September, although they were met with a forceful and heavy presence of police and military.

Ethiopia “Elects” the Ruling Party
With reports continuing to come in of evidences of fraud and bullying tactics prior to and during the elections in Ethiopia, the results have also come in, giving the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) near to a 100% share of parliamentary seats.

Ethiopia is scheduled to hold elections on the 23rd May, and there are reports that opposition activists are being targeted by supporters of the ruling Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front.
