Police Shut Down Anti-Authority Website
A political activism website has been shut down by police after it posted an article advising student protesters how to avoid arrest.
Fitwatch, an organisation set up to monitor and protest against Forward Intelligence Teams (FITs), found that its web hosting service had been taken down following protests from the police.

Can Burning a Book be a Criminal Offence?
Six men have been arrested and held for allegedly burning a book . The crime for which they have been held is “inciting racial hatred”, according to the Guardian newspaper.
Two men were arrested in Gateshead, UK, on the 15th September and four others detained on the 22nd September.

Peace and Democracy Camp Goes into History
It is, perhaps, typical English irony. The “peace camp” of protesters in Parliament Square outside the Houses of Parliament was targeted by Boris Johnson for closure on the same day that the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister said that the rights to non-violent protest would be restored.

Photography Fast Becoming the Prerogative of the State
